All fires should be immediately reported to management.

911 should be called and given specific information on the location and type of fire plus other relevant information such as the fuel source (e.g., grease fire) and any other relevant information including the location of any volatile chemicals, explosives, or hazardous materials stored on-site.

Staff and Emergency Response Team members should not attempt fire-fighting activities or other forms of rescue intervention unless they have been specifically trained in these areas and have the necessary tools (e.g., A-B-C type fire extinguishers).

If a team member determines that a fire is too large to handle, they should do what they can but wait for competent assistance before aggressively pursuing the fire.

Emergency Response Team members should follow safety precautions at all times.
